The translucent, no odor, non-staining formulation maintains its integrity for extended periods. Syngenta Advion Ant Bait Gel is a delayed action kill, and can be exposed to other ants by feeding or grooming targeting the whole colony.
The active ingredient is Indoxacarb.
The unique feature about this gel bait is due to the delayed reaction. Upon entering an insect, indoxacarb is converted into a new molecule with insecticidal properties. This process is activated specifically by the insect’s own enzymes.
Ants will bring the gel bait back to the colony and if an ant dies too quickly, the ants in the other colony won't have time to eat the bait. By slowing down the time it takes to kill the ant, this makes sure the bait is brought back to the colony where other ants will then consume.
